Center
One of the key concepts of Aikido is center.  When you
are centered, and you have control over the other
person’s center, you also control their balance and their
fall.  Just based on human physiology, if someone grabs
both of your wrists from behind, and you bring your
hands to your center, it is difficult for them to maintain
their control.  The texture and color were based on
some of the nomadic art of the eastern Eurasian
steppes.
