are socially controlled and mold into the roles that religious
institutions create for them. Whether it's Eve causing Adam to
eat the apple, to Mother Mary and her "immaculate
conception", the women in these stories rarely play a leading
role in the stories, but act as little cards that help the men in
these tales win their games with God.
